The mountain is located at the level of a 3332 meters above sea level, so it is definitely a cool mountain and also full of natural beauty, which is more beautiful than other Gungun is, if we are on top of this mountain, the clouds seemed to be under us, so it is not wrong if there is that says that the top of this mountain, a plain above the clouds. The mountain is also obvious when viewed from the island of Bali, when the sunset at Lovina Beach which became the core views of the beach there was this roar of the mountain, this mountain is also one that is still active volcano in East Java region, and at its peak there were Caldera cone about 100 meters high.

 
To climb G. Raung, is most easily from the direction of Bondowoso. From Bondowoso continue to the village by using the Colt Source Wringin through Sukosani. The journey begins from the village Source Wringin through pine plantations and coffee plantations into Pondok Motor or Postal climbers where we can find a caretaker named Mr. Christian.
